brand development
The identity itself ties in all the aspects of the Sunwing business. It was developed from sketches referencing a flying badge that someone gets when they "get their wings", which means they have completed significant stage of flying training. The yellow wing signifies the airline piece of their business. The blue portion is for the cruise portion of the Sunwing business.
Having a strong identity that truly represents who you are as a company helps people form branding surrounding that company. Branding is how people see a business and what they truly think about it. For Sunwing I challenged myself to create an identity that represented their company and who they are. Fun, afforadable, and taking you to the places you want to go.
This re-branding tries to maximize exposure to that target market by using a welcoming colour palette and typography, while keeping a professional look to their branding.
Brand collateral
Sunwing is known as an economy airline. The goal was to have the new identity is geared towards those people with a more polished look. Having a solid color pallette and sttrong brand collateral reinforce a fun, afforadable, but professional economy airline.
